WELCOME, OPERATOR.
You have successfully jacked into the
Datapoint 2200 Headquarters,
an experimental outpost running on the GeoCities substrate. This node
is dedicated to one of the coolest proto-PCs of the early 1970s:
the legendary
Datapoint 2200.
Think of this site as a virtual front panel: blinking lights, noisy
cassettes, green text, and a whole lot of love for vintage hardware.

MISSION:
To archive, celebrate, and generally geek out over the Datapoint 2200:
the machine whose architecture helped shape the microprocessors that
turned into the PCs we’re all surfing the web with right now.
If you have a Datapoint 2200, photos, manuals, stories, or random
war stories from the timesharing era, please beam them over!
(One day I’ll put a real e-mail form here. For now, imagine a whirring
300 baud modem.)
